From training as a Psychologist it allows the therapy offered to be flexible in terms of psychological theories used and encourages and a range of therapeutic models in practice as well as CBT.
Overall, the aim of therapy is to equip individuals with the necessary skills and coping mechanisms to deal with the problems and challenges that they are faced with. This form of therapy can help to alter negative thinking patterns which keep you from fulfilling goals, help with becoming more in control of your life, develop better self-esteem and self-confidence, raise awareness, gain a clearer sense of direction and learn social, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Additionally, a fundamental goal as therapists is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable to discuss the problems and challenges that you are experiencing, goals and aspirations for the future and your thoughts, feelings and behaviours linked to any challenges you may have.
